I don't understand a thing they are talking about but their office is awesome!!

When I get into this industry, I heard a lot of rumor about Japanese developers treat people pretty bad. Like you usually never leave the office and people have a folded bed under their office desks. Hey you, I mean... me,

I am going to tell you something very important and want to remind you, the future me, to keep this in mind always.
How to make your employees happy at work? I think there are three stages to achieve that.

1. Walking(first 3-6 months)
   
2. Swimming(6 - 12 months)
3. Flying(12 months and up)

Walking stage: No matter what position they are, new guys are like a baby for this company. In the first couple of months, it's very important to let them know where the ground is. a steady, firm foundation is the key to let them feel save. this process include introduce the surroundings, form small things like where is the bath room and kitchen, to the big things like what is everyone doing in the company. the key is to establish a intimate relationship between the surroundings.

the same think will be apply to almost everything. the difference is only depend on how soon each individual entity's ability to accustomed the challenges. I am sure you know that challenges mean opportunities, and opportunities mean space, money, and also, risk. always look inside yourself. don't take more than you can chew. a snake might be able to eat a elephant, but it also has very high possibility to overstuff then kill itself.

Happy new year!!

Another year has passed. What is your new year resolution? and did you achieve your new year resolution from last year? I wish everyone had a meaningful year. My resolution of this year is going to be:

• keep growing mentally, but not physically
• better managing my time to publishing more blog posts

My next project

I have been thinking about creating a character rig tool for animators which include rig and GUI. or something like maybe a knowledge base about how to use some tools you can find in the internet to create rigs and GUI.


I am not really sure about which direction I should take. but maybe i just thing too much, i can hardly get this blog going and i still missing some article i should write to you guys (if there is any). anyway, this is a new blog and i am still trying to find a direction.


hehehe...Glad I still have my goal and it is to enjoy every moment I have. so even if it will take my whole life to figure it out, i am sure i will be having a lot of fun doing it.
