When I get into this industry, I heard a lot of rumor about Japanese developers treat people pretty bad. Like you usually never leave the office and people have a folded bed under their office desks. After this video I think the table has finally turned. this is one good looking Japaneses Developer. So, check it out.

Interesting Restaurant Chain

I am not sure everyone know that I love fast food. So, I am going to say it again here like jack black said it in kung fu panda...

"I love fast food"

Therefor, I just find out a simple and easy restaurant chain this morning, called Chick-fil-A. The food looks really good and simple. I guess you can already tell from the name, they are carry chicken dishes. Rumor said it's the chicken version of in-and-out. I always like those restaurant which is focus only on what they do best. like in-n-out for instance. I hope this is also one of them. Anyway there is only one way to find out. I am planing to go this weekend. and we will see how that goes.

New kids on the block

The show is create by the Jim Henson company. "Sid the science kid" is the show's name. The new technology call digital puppetry, the pipeline captures the performance of the actor and puppeteers animate the facial animation on top of that in real time. The process will highly benefit the short TV production and also provide the quality what the tradition puppet show required. just like what they said in the video.

It looks really promissing. I think the result is fine and dynamic. the way they animate is very inspiring. I would like to give it a try if it is possible.

Today, I was trying to find some information for the game that we have been working on. And that is what I found. Although there is still not much to see, but what I can tell you is this game will be great. fun fun fun... and I am so excited!!

the end of HD DVD?

from the website dvdtown.com got a surprising news. both Warner Bros and new line are going to drop the HD DVD format.

Although it does seem like the end of HD DVD format, but I personally believe that it's still too early to say. HD DVD group won't just stand there and get there ass kick. They will for sure have some huge responses as well. However, I think everybody could sense this is the year the battle will finally get started. I wish both groups my bests.

Thanks to Autodesk, they put their newly release Maya 8.5 help on line. So, for people who are interested in what's new in Maya, they browse those information without downloading th educational version.

I am not sure they have this service before, but this is a great one for me. Maya help anywhere ooohoo!!

NHK year end event

are they real?
looks pretty real to me.
this Las Vegas style dancing program is broadcasting via the NHK year end event in Japan.
I think the show itself is fun and exciting ... but too bad ... it happen in a wrong place and wrong time.

AACS is hacked.

What is AACS?
I think it's a new technology that suppose to protect the content form stolen in the hd-dvd and blue ray disc.
couple days ago, a guy bought a hd-dvd disc and he couldn't play it on his machine.
so he decided to copy those content to his hard drive and watched it from there.
that's the reason why it's been hacked.
