Interesting trick

Want to know how to do this in Maya? you could use this trick to create different icon for your characters. The key is to disconnect the connection between the shape and shader. I will post a tutorial for this in the future shortly.

Thanks to Autodesk, they put their newly release Maya 8.5 help on line. So, for people who are interested in what's new in Maya, they browse those information without downloading th educational version.

I am not sure they have this service before, but this is a great one for me. Maya help anywhere ooohoo!!

NHK year end event

are they real?
looks pretty real to me.
this Las Vegas style dancing program is broadcasting via the NHK year end event in Japan.
I think the show itself is fun and exciting ... but too bad ... it happen in a wrong place and wrong time.
anyway enjoy it.
